 | | Centrally located, the main building is where many events are held. During the County Fair, contests are held inside. | The Midland County Fairgrounds serve the city in numerous ways. Throughout the year, various activities are hosted at the fairgrounds. Antique shows, car shows and even an Antique Auto/Hammered Dulcimer/Folk Music Festival. Occurring mostly in the spring and summer, the many shows and festivals bring in people from throughout the state.
 | | The grandstand is the location where races and concerts are held. | In early September, the annual Midland Balloon Festival takes to the sky. Previous years, the United Way has hosted a breakfast at The Midland Mall to begin its fund-raising campaign. The air balloons are visible throughout Midland and individuals can take rides on them.

In mid August, there is the Annual County Fair. Probably the biggest event held at the fairgrounds, the fair gives individuals the chance to enjoy the animals, a rodeo, not to mention countless games and rides. Various concerts are also held. Past concerts have included 98 degrees, Color me Badd and Reba McEntire.
The 2000 Midland County Fair will be held during August 13-19.
